FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a surgery?

No, all of the treatments offered are minimally invasive treatments. You will be awake during the procedure and able to return to work after.

Will my treatment be covered by insurance?

Yes, Medicare and most commercial insurances cover all or part of our treatments. We also offer great options for our cash pay patients.

What will be injected into my joint?

The most common agents we offer are PRP (also known as platelet rich plasma and involves drawing your own blood, removing on the plasma and injecting it into the joint space) and HA (also known as hyaluronic acid and is a large polysaccharide that is already naturally occuring in the body). However, care is very individualized and your provider will make recommendations based on your x-rays and physical examination.

What should I expect during my first visit?

You should plan to be in-office for 45 minutes to 1 hour. This time will include a consultation where general information will be provided about the services we offer, a physical examination with your provider and x-rays of the affected joint(s). Recommendations and pricing will be provided at this time.
